From the outside looking in, it seems as if Timothée Chalamet is Hollywood's current golden boy. The actor most recently won Best Actor at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards for his role in the acclaimed Marty Supreme, and has received much praise from the industry itself along with his fellow peers.

The public perception seemed positively sold on the assumption Chalamet would have taken home an Oscar at the 98th Academy Awards -- or at least been a close runner up in the category, which he lost to the talented Michael B. Jordan for Best Actor for his outstanding performance in Sinners.
